Hello~ I'm quite certain that no one actually reads this blog, primarily because I don't actually blog anything on it... LOL But, I finally have a bit of down time and something to blog about so, I'm back!
I have officially closed down my cute little eBay store and am truly enjoying my time NOT designing and sewing for a bit. My business managed to take over my entire life so quickly that I didn't even know how to regain control. The only reason I managed to pull myself away was the fact that my "studio" happened to be my former dining room, and the fear of having my house on the market without being staged to perfection was more horrifying than disappointing a few repeat customers. If I'm really the queen of anything, it's being totally anal about having a perfect house for complete strangers..... craziness!
That brings me to my next little update; we have a contract on our house and are moving to New Braunfels in three weeks!! Nick has already been gone for several weeks, but the kids and I have been waiting here until we knew the house would sell in this terrible market. It only took three weeks! Yeah!!! See, staging to perfection was totally worth it! ;-)
There are so many things I will be sad to leave behind when we move, primarily my family and friends, but this move is a really good thing for us. Nick has a wonderful job there that he loves, the area is beautiful and full of fun things to do, we will have a beautiful new house in a fabulous school district, and most importantly we will be able to get great medical care for our little problem princess. She is facing new serious health problems that we weren't even aware of when we decided to make this move two short months ago. I guess I will let that be the silver lining as I begin this next phase of my bitter-sweet journey...
