Ok, so I realize that this has taken forever... I'm sorry! I've been busy, and when I say ~busy~ I mean sewing until 2am, working 18 hours a day kind of busy. Why you ask? well, because I'm crazy! ;-)
I've been sewing for my sweet little Emma since she was born and we always get those, "where did you find that outift?!!", comments. After much prodding from friends and family, and a request from a local boutique to buy some of my stuff, I decided to whip up a few sweet "confections" and sell them on eBay just to test my skills. The rest , as they say, is history!
I was immediately contacted by several buyers to re-create custom outfits in other sizes. I also started getting emails from various children's "boutique design groups" asking me to join them and list my itmes under their group logo. In return I would get free graphics, discounted advertising and much more exposure than I could ever have on my own.
I was stunned, but decided that if I was really going to try this I'd better go all out! BTW, I never do anything half-way...
So one month later I'm living in my sweet little sweat shop! I have orders coming in every few days. Between sewing, working on my listings and taking care of Emma I have absolutely no time for anything else, but so far I'm having fun. Here's a little preview of what I've been up to:
I'll be blogging more soon, and less about sewing... I hope!
