...against the staph infection that is! :-) Less than 24 hrs after starting the treatment plan it was looking much better and is now almost gone. Yeah! The cultures came back as a strain of staph that is normally resistant to augmentin, but combined with the topical cream it seems to be doing the trick. No MRSA for us, thank GOD!! Just in case you don't know what a newly brewing staff infection looks like:

Oh - bless her little heart. She just can't catch a break.
I can hardly wait to see her Friday.

Oh wow, I just saw this now. I have problems with frequent staph infections so I can really empathize...
Poor kid! How is she now?
So glad the staph is clearing up with the first round of antibiotics. Glad, too, that you are always hooked up to cgms, so you could catch the lows resulting from their use. Hope Emma is in better health this coming year and always.
I'm so glad the antibiotic seems to be working. I remember when Emily got a horrible staph infection like this, around Emma's age. I'm quite certain she had D at that time, but we didn't know yet.
I hope you like your new city! We lived in Austin for awhile and loved it. Blessings to all of you and prayers for you and Emma!

I just had to hop over from your husband's blog when I saw his sidebar that said, My wife's blog!! :D I like your idea of taking pictures for documenting. I've learned in 10 years that if I want an illness to go away, I just make a doctor's appointment. :P Never fails. Too bad i'm talking about runny noses and upset stomachs instead of diabetes.
What a sweetie-pie. I hope she is feeling even better tomorrow.
